Some businesses are created in response to an opportunity. SLing Medical Travel was founded on a deeply personal conviction: access to exceptional healthcare should be seamless, trusted, and profoundly human.
Having navigated significant health challenges from an early age, Ling understands the vulnerability and uncertainty that can accompany important medical decisions. This understanding deepened when her daughter was born extremely prematurely at just 26 weeks and required an extended period of specialist care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit—during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While caring for her daughter, Ling witnessed the challenges faced by international families seeking reliable healthcare support beyond their home countries. Identifying the right hospital, the appropriate specialist, and trustworthy guidance can feel overwhelming, particularly when time, distance, and wellbeing are at stake.
These experiences shaped a clear belief: patients travelling for treatment require more than access to medical providers. They deserve thoughtful guidance, meticulous coordination, privacy, and the reassurance of a trusted partner throughout their journey.
Before establishing SLing Medical Travel, Ling built more than a decade of experience in global fintech, working across international markets, complex cross-border operations, and high-trust client relationships.
